My name is Dr. Shalando McCray, and I’m the founder of Learning 2 Love Counseling Service and A-1: A Learning Center ~ Tutoring & Homework Assistance. I am honored to welcome you to a space built on faith, compassion, and a deep commitment to healing, growth, and purpose.

As a Christian counselor, educator, and mentor, my life’s work has centered around one calling: service. I am here to walk alongside children, to help in knowledge and education, as well as and women and children who are hurting, helping them rediscover who they are in Christ, restore what was broken, and rise into the fullness of who God created them to be.

✨ About Learning 2 Love Counseling Service

Learning 2 Love was born out of a burden to see women and children emotionally and spiritually whole. We serve children, young women, and adult women who have experienced trauma, identity struggles, grief, anxiety, or emotional pain. Our approach is unique—we combine clinical excellence with Biblical truth, offering trauma-informed counseling that is deeply rooted in the healing power of God’s Word.

Whether it’s a child trying to process overwhelming emotions, a teen facing identity confusion, or a woman rebuilding from deep wounds, Learning 2 Love offers a safe and sacred space for them to be seen, heard, and loved as they heal.

📚 About A-1: A Learning Center ~ Tutoring & Homework Assistance

Alongside emotional healing, I also believe deeply in the power of education to transform lives. That’s why I founded A-1: A Learning Center ~ Tutoring & Homework Assistance, an academic support program designed to help children, teens, and adults not only succeed in school but thrive with confidence, discipline, and purpose.

We offer faith-friendly tutoring in reading, writing, math, and life skills for students who may be struggling academically or need an encouraging hand to help them move forward. Through customized, compassionate instruction, we build academic success while planting seeds of resilience, responsibility, and faith.

As a Mentoring Teacher, I provide dedicated support to fellow educators seeking guidance in classroom management, lesson planning, and overall instructional strategies. My goal is to empower teachers with practical tools to create structured, engaging, and effective learning environments. I offer personalized coaching to help teachers strengthen their classroom routines, develop clear and standards-based lesson plans, and navigate the challenges of meeting diverse student needs. Whether you're a new teacher looking for direction or an experienced educator needing fresh ideas and encouragement, my mentoring services are designed to uplift and support you every step of the way.

My journey has been shaped by personal experience, professional training, and the grace of God. I hold advanced degrees in counseling and education, and I’ve served in schools, churches, and clinical settings—but nothing has impacted me more than seeing lives transformed when faith and care come together.

Everything I do through Learning 2 Love and A-1 A Learning Center stems from one belief:
